I was born in Detroit on 3/8/1959 and grew up during Motown's heyday.  I sang in elementary school choir and later as a young mother, sang in church choir.  I learned how to harmonize and sang alto.  Then in 2014, I found a karaoke app and put it on my phone.  I discovered that I could sing solo and in duets, and that I could be a strong soloist.  I also discovered that I am a mezzo soprano with a three octave range.  I love singing most every kind of music except rap, hip hop, some country and some gospel.  My favorites are folk, alternative and pop.  Maybe showtunes as well as I am also an actress. A dream of mine is singing/acting in a musical.
